Top Gardens to Visit in Las Vegas

By James Darien

Often eclipsed by glitzy casinos and the bright lights, there exists another side to Vegas. Showpieces in their own right, the public parks and gardens in Vegas are undoubted oases of green in a desert landscape. Las Vegas is not only party and gambling, you can have some peaceful time while visiting some of the best gardens in the city. Check it ou:

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

The "creme de la creme" among public Las Vegas gardens, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is a delight to the senses. The visually-stunning gardens showcase botanical marvels from all over the world. The plants are enhanced by the employment of interesting garden structures and water features that create a naturalistic setting. Open all year, the garden is an ever-evolving gem, offering themed and seasonal displays across the year. Admission to the gardens is free.

Las Vegas Springs Preserve

A mere three miles from the Strip and catering to all tastes and interests, The Las Vegas Springs Preserve is a must-see destination. It comprises both indoor and outside attractions. This dynamic, historical, and cultural attraction isn't simply a showcase for present-day Las Vegas: via its exhibits, it opens a window into the past, and also looks ahead to the future. There's much to keep kids entertained and stimulated: proactive exhibits; galleries with video console games; wildlife exhibits; playgrounds; and trails. The preserve is home to an in depth botanical garden that includes flowers, cacti, palms, and trees, making it one of the top gardens in Las Vegas. The Preserve's eatery, Springs Caf ', offers gourmet pizzas, burgers, soups, and salads, as well as vegetarian options. Tall, glass windows allow patrons a breathtaking view of the Preserve whilst dining inside. Terrace seating is also available. The Preserve includes an amphitheater for regularly-scheduled concerts; and a gift shop offers a convenient stop for those wanting to take home a reminder of their visit. The Preserve is open daily from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m.
